Glenn Manton

Glenn Manton

Glenn Manton (born 1 June 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton and Essendon. He usually played in defence but was occasionally used up forward.

Manton made his AFL debut in 1992 for the Bombers and played 21 games over 3 seasons for them. He joined the Blues in 1995 and played 12 games for the club as a tall key defender. At the end of his career he had appeared 157 times for Carlton. Manton, throughout his playing time, was also a regular panelist on Nine Network's The Footy Show, and developed a reputation for his comedic ability. He performed at the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Manton also currently does work with numerous youth groups and charities across Victoria, appearing regularly in many schools to offer advice to teenagers about many life issues.
