Sport Club "Tornado" (SC "Tornado") began its activity on September 29, 2004, when Futsal Club "Tornado" was created. On August 24, the 2005 Constituent Assembly of Public Association of Sport Club "Tornado" took place. On November 14, 2005 SC "Tornado" was registered at the Department of Justice of the Republic of
Moldova under registration No. 3440, registration certificate No.005157.SC "Tornado" is a two-times participant in the Championship of Moldova on Futsal in Divizia A. During its opening season (2004-2005) SC "Tornado" occupied the 7th place among the 18 teams taking part in the Championship (7 wins, 9 draw, 1 defeat, 92 scored goals, 56 missed goals, 30 points). In the second season (2005-2006), SC "Tornado" took second place in Divisia A among 16 teams participating (13 wins, 0 draw , 2 defeats, 97 scored goals, 22 missed goals, 39 points). Finishing in second place gave SC "Tornado" promotion to join the National Division.
In the 2006-2007 season SC "Tornado" is represented in Futsal Moldavian Championship by two teams: SC "Tornado" and SC "Tornado-2". The first team, SC "Tornado" plays in Divizia Nationala, and SC "Tornado-2" in Divizia A.
Other sports
Simultaneously with Futsal activity other types of sport are promoted in SC "Tornado":- beach football ( SC "Tornado" is vice- champion of the National Championship of beach football). The first Moldavian beach football championship took place in August 2005;- boxing ( promoter is Dr. Oktavian Tsicu, Master of Sport of International Level Class, multiple boxing Champion of Moldova, vice-champion of the European Championship, participant at the Olympic Games in Atlanta);- chess (promoter is Dr. Carolina Smokina, grand master, Honoured Worker of Moldova);- tennis (the representative of the club is Master Aleksandr Andronake, trainer at the Moscow Academy of Tennis).
