Virpur (Rajkot)

Virpur is a small town near Rajkot city in Gujarat state of India. It is famous with the name JALARAM BAPA NO VIRPUR after the great saint SHREE JALARAM BAPA who was born here. He was ardent follower of SHRI RAM a Hindu God. Lakhs of followers from different parts of world throng this place every year. Jalaram Jayanti, which as per Gujarati calendar comes on Kartak Sud Satam, is the day on which this great saint was born. Jalaram Jayanti is celebrated all over India and prasad of KHICHDI KADHI (Shri Jalaram Bapas favorite) is distributed in Bhandara to its followers. Virpur is one and half hour journey by bus from RAJKOT in Gujarat. There are lots of small guest house catering as per the budget of tourists.
