Herman Boyd "Heinie" Odom (
October 13 1900 -August 31 1970 ) was an Americanthird baseman inMajor League Baseball who played a single game with theNew York Yankees in 1925. He was born and died inRusk, Texas . He was born Herman Boyd, and later changed his name.After attending the
University of Texas , Odom played his only major league game with the Yankees onApril 22 , by|1925. He hit a single in his one and onlyat bat and finished with a perfect 1.000batting average . In the field, he had oneputout and no errors, for a perfect 1.000fielding percentage ."
