Samuel Brighouse Elementary

Samuel Brighouse Elementary is located on 6800 Azure Road in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. As of 2008, the current school principal is Adam Heeney, and the vice principal is Janet Powell. Samuel Brighouse is the oldest elementary school in Richmond and has over 400 students. There are currently 49 staffs enrolled at Brighouse. Brighouse used to be feeding J.N. Burnett Secondary a decade ago, however, roads and railroads in Richmond have been constructed or renewed. Therefore, as of the closest catchment highschool right now, it is Richmond Secondary.

Students from K-7 attend Brighouse, but there is also a Montessori preschool attached. The school's sports team is called the Brighouse Blazers and has recently won gold in basketball at the Richmond Secondary Tournament. Samuel Brighouse Elementary has been participating in a program every morning called Action Schools since January 2007. Brighouse participates in many activities and events. The school owns 6 outdoor basketball hoops, 1 large field, and 2 playgrounds. Every year, grade 6s and 7s join in many different committees such as action schools or a primary lunch monitors.Way to go Blazers!
