type = village SIDDAVATAM OR SIDHOUT is a small village in kadapa District AndhraPradesh.The British administered the Kadapa district from this place from1808 to1812.Hear is a fort built by HINDU NAYAKS called MATLI RAAJULU during the period of Vijayanagara Empire.The Fort was built on the left bank of river PENNA.MIRJUMLA occupied the Fort in 17th centuary.Later it came under the rule of MAYANA NAWABS .The last among the dynasty Nawab AlamKhan was defeated by HYDER ALI of Mysore and HYDERALI destroyed the Fort.The Fort came in to the hands of NIZAM in 1792.The EASTINDIACOMPANY occupied the Fort in the year 1800.(Source:-ArcheologicalSurvey of India)
