reality TV programme, variously known as "La selva de los famosos" or "La isla de los famosos," for the Spanish television network Antena 3.That same year, Marín recorded a new song, "Run Baby Run," which was a cover version of a song first popularised in 1978 by
Amanda Lear , aEurope an model, disco singer, TV presenter, and gay icon in continental Europe. Marín has revealed that he is gay and has spoken out about gay rights issues. He has appeared at a number of gay pride events inSpain since coming out.In 2006, Marín released a new full-length CD, "Diamonds," in which he paid further tribute to Lear's disco-era oeuvre with electro cover versions of hits such as "Queen of Chinatown," "Follow Me," "Fashion Pack," and "Enigma," among others. The album also included "Run Baby Run," previously released on a compilation CD, as well as several remixes.
With the success of "Diamonds," Marín recorded a new album in 2007, "Pulpo negro." Unlike "Diamonds," which was recorded in English, "Pulpo negro" was recorded in Spanish. The album features a Spanish-language recording of one of Amanda Lear's better-known songs, "Follow Me." The Spanish version is entitled "(Ven) Sígueme."
Also in 2007, Marín recorded a new, electropop version of his 1980 hit, "Aire."
