Colofac is a medicine belonging to a group of medicines known as antispasmodic agents. It usually contains 135 mg of Mebeverine Hydrochloride with the minor ingredients of lactose, potato starch, povidone, purified talc, magnesium stearate, sucrose, gelatin, acacia and carnauba wax.
Colofac is used in the management of IBS or crohn's disease and the associated abdominal cramping. It works by relaxing the muscles in and around the gut.
Side effects of Colofac may include:

- Loss of appetite
