The Florida State University College of Medicine, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is one of sixteen colleges comprising the Florida State University (FSU). The College is an accredited medical school, offering the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree for physicians. The College of Medicine also offers a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences. Its faculty includes scientific researchers and practicing physicians, as well as researchers who focus on sociological and humanities issues in medical services industries.
With its main campus in Tallahassee, where students complete their first two years, the medical school also has regional campuses in Orlando, Pensacola, Sarasota, Tallahassee, Ft. Pierce, and Daytona Beach, FL where third- and fourth-year clinical training takes place. In addition to the regional campuses, an optional Rural Track medical education program places students for their entire third year in small town practice settings in Northwest Florida.
