V-moda calls it an innovative line of "Modaphones", consisting of the Remix M series, the Vibe, and the Bass Fréq. All of them come in a variety of colors, come with a one year warranty, and come with their unique "Modawrap" to organize the cables.
V-moda Bass Fréq
The V-moda Bass Fréqs were released by V-moda on June 6, 2006. They are noise-reducing headphones that use a
silicone seal, called "BLISS" by V-moda. They are a special kind of silicone that V-moda claims are softer than competitors' products. Although many customers claim that the V-moda's break easily because of their plastic build, the company reportedly fixed the problem after listening to complaints. The original price of these were $49.99, but as ofAugust 2007 they have been reduced to as low as $24.99. In less than one year of existence, they have accomplished an impressive feat, which is getting theCNET Editor's Choice Award, an award usually given to companies that make excellent products. One of their signature products, the Vibe was released on November 1, 2006, with V-moda marketing it as their luxury product. Made out of aluminum, it has a quality build and includes the same "BLISS" mechanism as in the Bass Fréqs. It comes in five colors - FlashblackChrome, RedRoxx, LaMocha, and GunmetalBlack and now the new color Midnight Blue. It was originally priced at $101, a hint at Highway 101 that runs past their headquarters. V-moda Vibe Duo
Similar in design to the Vibe, it is specifically designed for the Apple
iPhone . It includes a microphone on the unit so you can use it as a hands-free device. Otherwise, it has the same price as the Vibe. They come in three different colours: Nero, Chrome and Gunmetal Rouge.Many have complained in forums that the headphones fail after a few months, with one earphone going out then the other. V-moda has indicated there is a design flaw that they are working to fix.
V-moda Remix-M Class
This is the only model in the series that does not have the "BLISS" mechanism built in. As a result, it does not cancel any noise. It is made out of sculpted metal, has a frequency response of 18Hz-22000Hz, and costs the same price as the Bass Fréqs. These come in 3 colors.
Modawrap
Designed to wrap up the cable of the headphones, these come packaged with all headphones. Made of silicone, it is in the shape of the company logo.
