Kirk Michael in theIsle of Man . Located between the twelfth and thirteenth milestones on the famous TT course, the crossroads is a landmark on the famous road racing course. The A3 (TT Course) and the C4 (Ballaleigh Road) converge at this point.Features
The crossroads is the location of a postbox, a traditional
red telephone box and one of the firstWesleyan Methodist chapels on the Island. Opposite the chapel is a building used in the past as the chapel hall, a local Sunday school, and a metal works. The building is now home to a seasonal carpentry firm.Barregarrow and the TT races
The crossroads is closed during the
TT fortnight in May/June of each year during practice and racing hours and a similar situation occurs during the AugustManx Grand Prix . The crossroads serves as a convenient location for touring riders to retire during races prior to the high speed approach toKirk Michael village two miles further on. The Isle of Mandog warden , a boarding kennels and camp-site are located atCronk Aashen in Barregarrow and serves as a main spectator facility during the motorcycling periods on the Island.
