"Learning to Drive" is an alternative rock song written by Scott Weiland (of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver). The song is the first track on the soundtrack for the movie "Bug". The single is a remake of a Stone Temple Pilots outtake also called "Learning To Drive". The title of the 2007 single was first reported to be called "Beautiful Day", but more recent sources reported it to be "Learning to Drive".

Scott told "Hollywood Exclusive" that "the song we wrote is almost perfect for the film because, on one end, it's beautiful and almost pristine -- and on the other side of things, it's really twisted and it's like you're on a psychotic roller coaster ride in slow motion.".cite web |url=http://webcenters.netscape.compuserve.com/celebrity/hollywoodexclusive.jsp?feature=ce_hol_10182006 |title=Weiland Multi-Tasking; 'Ugly Betty' Boss Blitzed |accessdate=2006-10-18 |author=Stephanie DuBois and Emily Feimster |date=October 18, 2006 |publisher="Netscape Celebrity"]
