yellow subgiant star in theconstellation of Mensa. This star has a highproper motion . Theapparent magnitude is 5.67, which can be visible with thenaked eye under exceptionally dark, clear sky. It is nearly 60 ly away. The star dwarfs theSun in terms ofmass ,size ,luminosity ,temperature , andmetallicity . It is about 730 million years younger than our Sun. This star ranks 100th on the list of top 100 target stars for the plannedTerrestrial Planet Finder mission to search for Earth-like planets around the star.Planet b
On
October 15 ,2001 , the planet was found orbiting the star. It is one of the most massive planets ever discovered. It orbits in a very eccentricorbit and takes approximately 2064day s (5.65year s) to revolve. Because of its eccentricity that passes through thehabitable zone plus a massivesuperjovian , it would have been disrupted the orbits of Earth-like planets and may have plunged into the star or thrown out intointerstellar space .PlanetboxOrbit
