March 23 ,1951 inBrandenburg an der Havel ) is a former German rower. He became together with his twin brotherJörg Landvoigt twice Olympic Gold winner and in four times the world champion in rowing. His first large international success he achieved at the Olympic Games in Munich, 1972. Where it as members of the GDR eight won the Bronze Medal. At the EM he won with the boat European champion 1973. Later he formed with his twin brother Jörg one of the most successful " two without" all times, which achieved 179 victories in 180 sequential runnings. 1973 reached he with the European championships, however only the third place.
