Although Cage was on the team until 1981, Cage only played in the major leagues in by|1978 and by|1979, when he had batting averages of .245 and .232. He was traded to theSeattle Mariners in by|1981 forRod Craig , although he would not play in the major leagues with Seattle. Instead, a week after the trade, Cage's contract was sold to the Hankyu Braves of thePacific League . He played for the Braves for two seasons, by|1981 and by|1982.References
