Potter Street is a small street in Brunswick, Maine between Maine Street and Union Street. Even though it is only one block long and has less than twenty houses, it has had and currently has significant residents.

Joshua Chamberlain

Joshua Chamberlain, an American Civil War general and 32nd governor of Maine, lived on Potter Street in what has become known as the Joshua Chamberlain House. It was turned to face Maine Street and became officially on Maine Street.
