The Schools at Somerhill is the title given to a group of schools located in a Jacobean mansion situated to the east of
Tonbridge inKent ,England The three schools are called Yardley Court,Derwent Lodge and Somerhill Pre Prep. Yardley Court is for boys aged 7-13,Derwent Lodge for girls aged 7-11 and Somerhill Pre Prep is a mixed school for aged 3-7 boys and girls. Currently there is a new swimming pool and dining hall being built and should be complete quite soon. His deputy is Richard Green, whose youngest daughter attended Derwent Lodge prior to her move to secondary school. The Director of Studies is Malcolm Gough, who was brought up in Harare, Zimbabwe. The headmistress of Derwent Lodge is Mrs Ellen Hill, who prior to being head of DL was deputy head and Director of Studies at Vinehall School. She has been in this post since January 2004. Her deputy is Mrs Hilary Humphrey-Baker, who graduated with a 2.1 in Biology and Geography. The pre prep head teacher is
