- Duchesne High School (St. Charles, Missouri)
Duchesne Catholic High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in St. Charles, Missouri. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Louis.
Background
Duchesne High School was established as St. Peter High School in 1924. It was originally a two-year commercial high school, but became a four-year school in 1929. The school moved to its current location in 1956 and was renamed Duchesne Catholic High School.
Duchesne High School is a Catholic, college preparatory school for young women and men in grades 9-12. Duchesne is classified as a regional high school by the Archdiocese of St. Louis, which means that certain parishes are "assigned" to DHS as the primary areas that we serve. However, Duchesne's long-standing tradition makes it an attractive choice for students throughout St. Charles County and into St. Louis County. Serving as the leadership of the Duchesne community are Mr. Terry Gravemann, president; Mrs. Nancy Repking, principal; and Mr. Kurt Clodius, dean of students. Duchesne's faculty and administrators represent a broad spectrum of experience and training. More than 60 percent of the teachers and administrators possess a Masters or Doctorate degree.
Our primary focus is providing for students of different interests, backgrounds and abilities a solid education that will benefit them not just in preparing for college but for the rest of their lives.
