Coxsackie-Athens is a rural New York State school district located along the Hudson River, approximately 20 miles south of Albany. Known as C-A, or the "Indians", to people in the region, Coxsackie-Athens has around 1,600 students K-12.
A school district with a campus in the Village of Athens, and the main campus in the Village of Coxsackie where the district office is located. The district has four schools: Edward J. Arthur Elementary; Coxsackie Elementary; Coxsackie-Athens Middle School; and Coxsackie-Athens High school. All of these are located on a single campus on Sunset Boulevard in Coxsackie with the exception of Edward J. Arthur, which is located on Third Street in Athens.

In January, 2011 Anne Marie Barkman began her job as interim superintendent for the remainder of the 2010-2011 school year. The current superintendent is Randall Squier.
Sports
Coxsackie-Athens is part of Section II in New York State and the Patroon Conference. Patroon Conference members include: Coxsackie-Athens, Greenville, Catskill, Cairo-Durham, Hudson, Chatham, Ichabod Crane, Maple Hill, Taconic Hills, and Rensselaer.
