HMNZS "Otago" (P148) is a Protector class off-shore patrol vessel under construction for the Royal New Zealand Navy. The ship is being built by Tenix as part of the New Zealand government's Royal New Zealand Navy Future Plans,cite press release

The ship is named in honour of HMNZS "Otago" (F111), a "Rothesay"-class frigate serving in the Royal New Zealand Navy from 1960 until 1983.cite press release
