Challenging White Supremacy

Challenging White Supremacy

The Challenging White Supremacy (CWS) workshop is a San Francisco Bay Area-based collective and a curriculum for anti-racist education founded by Sharon Martinas and Mickey Ellinger in 1993. CWS perform anti-racist trainings primarily for white activists, using a framework which identifies racism that privileges those identified as white ("white supremacy," in the workshop's terms, which differ from understandings of the term as referring primarily to neo-Nazi ideology) as a central axis of power in the United States.
