History
Minerul has played for four seasons in the Liga I during its long history, mostly playing in the Liga II and Liga III. In 1928 it won the silver medal at the final tournament, that was organised then as a cup.
During the 2010–11 Liga II season it withdrew from the championship because of lack of funds. [1]
In the 2011-12 season the club will probably play in the Liga IV.
