- Mandarin (SRMTHFG)
Mandarin is an antagonistic character in the television show
Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! . Mandarin is the infamous 'sixth' monkey, who was the original leader of the Super Robot Monkey Team. He is orange which explains Chiro's color scheme. He is different than the other monkeys who are part robot while he is not, which explains why he has orange gauntlets to emit his energy sword and shield and has armor. At some point before the time line of the show, he decided that he was too powerful to merely protectShuggazoom ,and decided he should rule it instead. The other monkeys defeated him and sent him into space in a prison ship similar to a giant ring, but when Chiro finds some of Mandarin's old equipment in his room and activates it, it reawakens Mandarin. Mandarin easily takes control of the ship and flies toward Shuggazoom. Chiro shows the Monkey Team the equipment and they scream and later explain some of Mandarin's history. Mandarin comes to Shuggazoom while the Monkey Team easily guesses who it is. Later Mandarin takes Chiro and trains him to an extent against Chiro's will, while the Monkey Team is locked up. The Monkey Team is scared that Chiro will turn evil, but Sprx disagrees and says that Chiro is pure hearted. Antauri mentions so was Mandarin once. Mandarin has an argument with Skeleton King, saying he wanted the Monkeys (they are launched in a pod to Skeleton King earlier) while saying nothing for "the boy" meaning Chiro. Later the Monkeys return save Chiro and they barely are able to defeat Mandarin, though he escapes to a moon and Skeleton King offers to teach him, while Mandarin accepts. When he returns to Shuggazoom after his second defeat, he was rebuilt into a muscular Cyborg called "The Supreme Destuctor", a relentless warrior created for the sole purpose of destroying Chiro. While Chiro comments on his disgust for the new Mandarin. The cyborg Mandarin is extremely huge and muscular with small legs and has barely any armor and has a tail made of energy. During Season 2, he is replaced by a smaller, younger skeletal themed clone of himself after a failed attempt to clone Chiro, and the fate of the real Mandarin is unknown. At the end of Season 2, his arm is cut off, but is later replaced with a claw. This clone is defeated by Chiro and eaten by the Dark One, but returns in an undead-like state at the end of Season 3. He fights Chiro in the stomach of the Dark One, with his face burnt and full of blisters, but once again he is defeated and kicked into stomach acid. Chiro escapes and eventually so does Mandarin. He takes possession of the decapitated head of Skeleton King and the remains of the TV Monster. He takes Valina's amulet and uses it against the Hyperforce and makes their worst fears come true, but he is sucked into the amulet by Chiro. While Valina tortures him for him abusing her, they eventually put their differences aside and escape the amulet and try to revive Skeleton King. Though they keep arguing they eventually start to revive Skeleton King. While trying to protect Valina as she revived Skeleton King, his claw hand was broken by Gibson, the second time that hand was destroyed. When the new Skeleton King destroys Valina, Mandarin is left unharmed by him. He was last seen on the new Skeleton King's shoulder with the broken claw.
Strength Level
Mandarin's strength level is in question. While he was described as being very powerful, he was defeated by the other monkeys without Chiro. His return was cut short because he was barely defeated by the Hyperforce with Chiro. His clone was defeated many times, which questions his strength level. Although, it's worth noting that he usually proves a challenge in battle and he can beat his old teammates one on one easily.
Origin of the Name
He is named after both the Mandarin orange and the Mandarin dialect of Chinese.
