- Ben McVeigh-Whitaker
-
Ben McVeigh-Whitaker is an English actor.
At a young age, Ben starred in the film 'The Lost Language of Cranes'.[1] The film was groundbreaking in terms of the portrayal of gay issues on television. It was based on the novel by David Leavitt, The Lost Language of Cranes. Ben starred as a young neglected boy whose only comfort and known language was the language of the cranes. It serves as a motif for two gay characters in the film.
Ben was also brother to the infamous Louis Mcveigh - Whitaker who co-starred in the film but was cut as the film went to press due to alleged payment disputes. Louis currently lives in Southampton with the sheep he stole from the set of The Lost Language of Cranes, which many say was the source of the row that led to his axing.
