Eilean Mhuire

Eilean Mhuire

Eilean Mhuire (meaning "Island of St Mary") is the most easterly of the Shiant Islands in the Outer Hebrides.

Once populated Eilean Mhuire is now used only for grazing sheep. On the western side of the island are the ruins of St. Mary's Church. There also appears to have been a chapel devoted to the Virgin Mary on Eilean an Taighe
