Tango Paradiso

Tango Paradiso is a tango ensemble.

Since forming in 1998, the group have performed at various festivals in Canada and the USA. Tango Paradiso's sound is a mixture between traditional and post-modern tango described as "Post Nuevo"Fact|date=July 2008. Bandoneon/accordion player and band frontman Douglas Schmidt received a doctorate of music composition from the University of British Columbia in 1992. His compositions have been performed internationally and he has appeared on MuchMusic, Bravo TV, and has been featured on 5 Juno and CARAS award winning recordingsFact|date=July 2008.
