Villa Madonna Academy is a private,
Roman Catholic high school inVilla Hills, Kentucky . It is located in theRoman Catholic Diocese of Covington .Background
Villa Madonna Academy (or Villa)is sponsored by the Benedictine Sisters of Saint Walburg Monastery. Villa is a three-time Blue Ribbon award winner. Once for the elementary (2007) and twice for the high school (2003-04). The two school buildings, K-12, are connected by hallways. The red-brick building is the original building, 104 years old, built in 1904. This is from when Villa was an all-girls academy. the center building (red-brick) is still used as a day care, classrooms for 4-6, and the elementary foreign language classrooms. The currentwhen principal is Shoshana Bosley and the President is Ed Franchi.
The schools mascot was first "the vixens" but the mascot "the vipers" became the boys mascot when it became co-ed. Later the mascot "blue lightning" was given to both the male and female sports teams.
