Mitcham Common . His first products wererubber goods, mostly for the medical profession.Experiments were carried out for insulatingelectric cables using rubber, and he devised a continuousmanufacturing process for this. Hooper establishedHooper's Telegraph Works , a limited company based in London's Milwall Docks with a factory onMitcham Common . The company went intoliquidation in 1877, with Hooper dying a year later at the age of sixty.
