Italy whose course lies within theProvince of Brescia , sometimes forming the border withProvince of Trento . It belongs to the basin ofLago d'Idro .Its source is on
Cornone di Blumone , a peak in theRhaetian Alps , near thePasso del Termine within the commune ofBreno , in theParco regionale dell'Adamello regional park. The river then runs through theVal di Caffaro entering the territory ofBagolino and flows into theChiese just before the latter enterslago d'Idro atPonte Caffaro .The Caffaro’s principal affuents are the Riccomassimo, the Rio Frèi, the Dazare, the Bruffione, the Lajone, the Sanguinera, the
Vaia , the Dasdanè, the Racigande, the Berga and the Leprazzo.The river provides a significant source for the production of
