Born in 1968, Andy Lee enjoyed a short professional career with
Preston North End before moving toRuncorn FC and then to GM Vauxhall conference clubTelford United , where he captained the club toFA Trophy success atWembley Stadium in 1989 in a 1-0 success over Macclesfield Town.Lee was then transferred to Colne Dynamos the following season for a sizeable fee. After an injury hit season, a subsequent number of clubs followed; amongst them
Droylsden ,Witton Albion andAshton United . A successful coaching career followed at professional academy and semi professional clubs, the latest of which beingCongleton Town . Lee became one of the youngest holders of the UEFA 'A' Licence coaching award which he gained while still only 30 years of age.After his sacking from Congleton Town, Lee joined Welsh Premier league side Connahs Quay Nomads as assistant to manager Jim Hackett. Lee then turned down the offer of the managers position after Hackett was sensationally sacked at the end of the 2007/8 season.
