Mlynská dolina (literally: Mill valley; before 1894 (German: Mühlthal, Hungarian: Malomvölgy)[1] is part of the borough of Karlova Ves in Bratislava, located in the Bratislava IV district. The Vydrica river flows through it.
Slovak Television has its headquarters in an office tower at Mlynská dolina, which is one of the tallest in Slovakia (108 m). Opposite the building is one of the largest cemeteries in Bratislava, Slávičie údolie (literally: nightingale valley). There are also university dormitories and two faculties of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies, nearby. Mlynská dolina is also a private residential neighborhood, with some of the newest and most expensive homes in Bratislava. The Bratislava Zoo is also located in this area, as well as a section of the D2 motorway.
