CHMS-FM is a hot adult contemporary Canadian radio station at 97.7 FM in Bancroft,
Ontario using the on air brandingMoose FM , owned by theHaliburton Broadcasting Group .The station originally began broadcasting as CJNH in 1975, on the AM band at 1240 kHz and partially rebroadcasting CJBQ in Belleville to the south. CJNH was given approval by the
Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) onMarch 2 ,2001 [ [http://www.crtc.gc.ca/archive/ENG/Decisions/2001/DB2001-158.htm Decision CRTC 2001-158] ] and moved to the FM band at 97.7 FM in May 2001 with a new callsign CHMS.hows
Currently the station's morning show consists of Drew Hosick as the morning host and Steve Scally as the morning news anchor. The Moose morning show runs from 6 until 10 weekday mornings with news and sports updates every 30 minutes between 6 and 9. There are also news updates at noon, 4pm and 5pm on weekdays. Famous broadcast include their long weekend marathons of up temp music to match the mood of the holidays.
Weekday afternoons are manned from 2pm to 7pm.
