Whitney Matheson (Born April 21,1977) in Fredricksburg, Va. is a writer and the author of Pop Candy, a popular entertainment blog which is posted on USA Today's website, and also writes entertainment and pop culture features for the newspaper.

Matheson joined USA Today in 1999 and created Pop Candy as a weekly pop-culture column that same year. In 2006 Pop Candy won the Weblog Award for "Best Pop-Culture Blog."
