Carmen Elise Espenæs (born September 30, 1983 in Stavanger, Norway) is the vocalist and founding member of the band gothic/folk metal Midnattsol.

Personal life

She is the sister of Liv Kristine Espenæs Krull, a singer who has had a solo career along with positions in the bands Theater of Tragedy and Leaves' Eyes. In September 2004, Espenæs was offered a chance to tour with Cradle of Filth, on their road trip for Nymphetamine. However, due to commitments to the band, Espenæs declined the request. [cite web
