Belmayne is a new (2007) development of housing, and proposed adjunct facilities, in
Balgriffin , a northern suburb ofDublin ,Ireland . It is situated just off the Malahide Road, opposite the new (2006) Hilton Hotel. It is close to the M1 and M50, andDublin Airport , via the N32. There are Dublin Bus services (27, 42 and 43) on the Malahide Road. The estate is in walking distance of Tesco-anchored Clare Hall Shopping Centre.Belmayne has been noted in the press [Dublin, The Irish Times: Sat. April 28, 2007, "Giving it the Hard Sell", also http://www.ireland.com/newspaper/newsfeatures/2007/0428/1177280507927.html] , and criticised by some members of the public [Dublin, The Irish Times: Fri. May 4, 2007, Letter, "Property: the Hard Sell", also http://www.ireland.com/newspaper/letters/2007/0504/index.html] , for its striking advertising theme material. They should not use offensive or provocative copy or images merely to attract attention."]
Belmayne forms part of the Northern Fringe Development, as approved by the local authorities, providing new accommodation in former "green belt" land.
