Saturation bombing

Saturation bombing

Saturation bombing is the process of putting a very large number of bombs on one target. Not to be confused with carpet bombing, saturation bombings mostly occurred during the Vietnam War after President Nixon ordered troop withdrawals and substituted them with bombing campaigns.

Saturation bombing was also used in WWII, most notably in Dresden
