The "Lapwing"-class minesweeper, often called Lapwing Bird class minesweeper, was an early "AM-type" oceangoing minesweeper. It had the following specifications:

* Displacement: 840 tons
* Length: 187'10"
* Beam: 35'5"
* Draft: 15'
* Speed: 14 knots
* Armament: 2 3"/50
* Complement: 75
* Reciprocating engine
