High schools in Myanmar ( Burmese:, etc. Teachers and all staffs in high schools are underpaid, although many teachers are in aspects of love and sympathy to the students, no matter the low salary.
Uniform
Colour code of the high schools' uniform is white top and green bottom, although some girls' uniforms are mixed designed. From basic Primary schools to High schools, the uniform with this colour code is designed for students and teachers.

There was a system that science study students have six major units such as
Myanmar , English,Mathematics ,Chemistry ,Physics andBiology . Arts study students will achieveMyanmar , English,Mathematics ,Geography ,History andEconomics . As many of high schools' students need to study by hard work to pass the exams, there is a norm that parents put their sons and daughters in private boarding schools to have better training and guidelines. As teenagers life in boarding schools, students are pressed and controlled under the teachers so that it is non-democratic if compared to the western cultures. Boarding schools accepts more than 500 students per year and train students towards matriculation examination as early as three years prior to that. At today's context, boarding schools are quite competitive with each other so that it is more negotiatingblack economy in the market economy ofBurma .

All schools from the whole Myanmar, including government schools and comprehensive schools and private boarding schools have to take matriculation exams hold only by the
Myanmar Board of Examinations . Students from government high schools and comprehensive schools can registered for the examinations internally by the guidelines of school teachers, although students from private boarding schools have to register for the exams externally themselves.Criticism
In the meantime, comprehensive schools are developed as minority rich family can afford some fund to raised up the school's quality. Schools in Rangoon such as
TTC Yangon and,Dagon-1 are highest in price, suppose one can afford in millions ofKyat s in donor will be able to enrol to these schools. Some families afford their children into boarding schools as high as 5 millionskyat s a year for an overall care of a student. Therefore, uneven system and unfairness come out between the poorer(sub-urban districts) and the cities. Critics say that if the education system is fair, and all students are treated equally, there will be no struggle and waste in sending off the teenagers into the boarding schools. Also, there is a dispute between the high school teachers and the government, as law outlined tat teachers are not allowed to teach or run private tuition schools in recent year.ee also
