Ryburn Valley High School is a secondary school, and is a specialist Media Arts College, located in the village of Sowerby. Originally built in the 1950s in 2005 it moved into a bigger building.
History
New Building
The new building was confirmed in 2001 and was built from 2004 to 2005. The students moved into the building after spring half term in 2005.
Media Art Status
After being awarded its status 3 years ago Ryburn has established a national reputation for excellence in media production work, film making, digital photography and journalism.
The school has its own lecture theatre come cinema.
