Len Skeat

Len Skeat (born February 9, 1937) is an English jazz double-bassist born in East London, perhaps best-known for his work with the Ted Heath band. Skeat has recorded with some prominent jazz artists, such as Mel Tormé, Ben Webster, Billy Eckstine, Lionel Hampton, Scott Hamilton, Helen Merrill, Lou Rawls, Harry Edison, Denny Wright, Digby Fairweather, Spike Robinson, Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Stephane Grappelli, Dick Morrissey, Charly Antolini and Randy Sandke. He was also a member of the Eddie Thompson Trio and Charly Antolini's Jazz Power.
