"Eucalyptus tricarpa", or Red Ironbark, is a species of "Eucalyptus" which is endemic to Victoria and the South Coast of New South Wales in Australia. It is a tall, straight trunked tree that usually grows to between 25 and 35 metres in height. It has deeply furrowed red-brown to black-brown bark that is persistent on all branches.

Taxonomy

"Eucalyptus tricarpa" was formerly regarded as a subspecies of "Eucalyptus sideroxylon" and was known as "Eucalyptus sideroxylon" subsp. "tricarpa" L.A.S.Johnson
