Speaking of Faith

Speaking of Faith

"Speaking of Faith with Krista Tippett" [ [http://speakingoffaith.org/about/index.shtml] web page describing the radio program (accessed 2008-Feb-10)] is a weekly radio program about "religion, meaning, ethics, and ideas" [ [http://speakingoffaith.org/about/index.shtml] web page describing the radio program (accessed 2008-Feb-10)] , produced by American Public Media. Initially launched as a monthly broadcast in 2001, the program became weekly in 2003. Operating from an essentially nondenominational viewpoint, the program explores the relationship between religion and the larger world.

Tippett believes "what most Americans want, whether they are religious or not, is for the religious voice in our public life to be more constructive — to reflect the capacity religion has to nourish lives and communities." The radio program has also spawned a book of similar name. [ [http://speakingoffaith.org/events.shtml] web page describing book "Speaking of Faith" (accessed 2008-Feb-10)]
