The English International School, Prague is a fee-paying day school for pupils aged 18 months to 18 years. The school was founded in 1995 and recently moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art campus in Prague 4, with a total capacity of 600 pupils. Facilities on offer at the new campus include an indoor sports hall, a drama studio and theater, ICT suites, 2 libraries, and extensive outdoor grounds. The new campus was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal on an official visit to the Czech Republic in October 2007.
The school uses the National Curriculum of England, and offers IGCSEs at 16 and the IB Diploma at 18. It is owned by Nord Anglia Education, which operates international schools in Bratislava, Budapest, Ningbo, Seoul, Shanghai, and Warsaw, teaching over 4,000 pupils worldwide.The school has gotten generally negative feedback from its students following the administrative changes that took place during 2007 and 2008.
