Susie Cornfield trained as a
journalist on a localnewspaper in southLondon before being invited by the award-winning editor,Sir Harold Evans , to join "The Sunday Times " where she worked as radio critic and occasional TV previewer. She became a columnist on "The Sunday Telegraph" magazine and wrotedocumentaries forBBC TV, which lead to her writing "The Queen’s Prize " (Pelham Books, 1987), the history of theNational Rifle Association of the United Kingdom with a foreword by Lord Cottesloe, the NRA’s Deputy President and after whom the Cottesloe theatre at theNational Theatre was named. She is also the author/compiler of "Farewell, my Lovely ", a collection of tails and tributes to much-loved, departed pets, including her own Brains the MagnifiCat, and with stories fromJilly Cooper ,David Blunkett andAnn Widdecombe .Bibliography
