General elections were held in the Cayman Islands on 11 May 2005. They were won by the People's Progressive Movement, which took nine of the fifteen seats in the Legislative Assembly.
For the election, there were 13,118 registered voters. Election day saw 10,527 cast ballots cast (a turnout of 80.25%), of which 197 were invalid (1.87%). [ [http://www.electionguide.org/results.php?ID=128 ElectionGuide.org] ]
