Tim Caple

Tim Caple is a British television commentator on many different sports, concentrating mainly on football.

Football

Tim made his debut as a television commentator in the mid 1990s for Bristol-based ITV company HTV West. A short spell at BBC Radio Merseyside followed.

Since 1996 he has been a regular football voice on Eurosport, making his debut covering the Toulon Tournament. He has covered three European Championships for them (1996-2004) and also worked on the 1998 FIFA World Cup as presenter and commentator. He has also commentated on action in the African Cup of Nations.

In addition to Eurosport Caple has commentated for all the major British terrestrial networks. He made a brief appearance on BBC's Match Of The Day programme in 2004 covering an FA Cup tie between Everton and Norwich City. Caple was a regular voice of OnDigital and the ITV Sport Channel's Champions League coverage, as well as contributing to HTV's regional programming.

To complete the set he has covered the Copa Libertadores for Channel 4, alongside Tony Jones and for five on the Eredivisie in the Netherlands and the occasional live UEFA Cup match. During the 2006/2007 season he covered several games for Sky Sports.

Pokerface

Caple became the commentator on Pokerface, on ITV in 2006 and in 2007.Tim, as I'm sure you'll have to agree, has an amazing voice.

Trivia

*In addition to commentating on the Winter Olympics and the skiing World Cup, Tim Caple has also commentated on the Winter Olympics Playstation game.
*Tim Caple narrated "The Frog And The Scorpion" fable for the independent film, "Staggered" (2008).
