Lawrence County Airpark

Lawrence County Airpark

is a public airport located two miles (3 km) west of the central business district of Chesapeake, in Lawrence County, Ohio, United States. It is publicly owned by Lawrence County Board of Commissioners. The airport lies across the Ohio River from Huntington, West Virginia.

Facilities and aircraft

Lawrence County Airpark covers an area of 86 acres (35 ha) which contains one asphalt runway (8/26): 3,001 x 70 ft (915 x 21 m).

For 12-month period ending May 4, 2005, the airport had 41,910 aircraft operations, an average of 114 per day: 98% general aviation (41,250), 1% air taxi (495) and <1% military (165). There are 49 aircraft based at this airport: 96% single engine (47), 2% multi engine (1) and 2% helicopters (1).
