Brighton Belle, Winsford

Brighton Belle, Winsford

The Brighton Belle is a public house on Middlewich Road in Winsford, Cheshire, England.

History

The Brighton Belle was known as the Railway Inn until 1972, when a Pullman carriage from the Brighton Belle train was added to function as a restaurant.cite web | title=Farewell to the Belle | work=This is Cheshire | url=http://archive.thisischeshire.co.uk/1998/4/22/240892.html | accessdate=2007-05-05] In the next 26 years the carriage became a local landmark until it was removed in 1998 because the cost of refurbishment in situ was prohibitive.
