Career as a manager
José Ziganda managed various Osasuna's youth teams, including Osasuna B in 2005-2006, and after
Javier Aguirre left Pamplona, he became the head coach of the Navarrese club. In that first season Osasuna was eliminated from theUEFA Champions League and experienced several setbacks in La Liga. However, the situation in the domestic league gradually became better and CA Osasuna reached semi-finals of theUEFA Cup establishing a new club's record.in june 2008 Dutch Premier devision club FC Twente were highly interested in Ziganda to be their Manager.This right after Steve McLaren decided that The Dutch Eredivisie was not the right place for him.
