Richard Jacobs

Richard E. "Dick" Jacobs is the chairman and chief executive officer of The Richard E. Jacobs Group, [ [http://www.rejacobsgroup.com/index.aspx?id=34 Richard E. Jacobs Group, Inc.: Organization] . Accessed 2007-05-01.] a real estate development company that he co-founded with his late brother David. The company builds and leases shopping centers, offices, and hotels. Among its properties are Key Tower, Westgate Mall, and Triangle Town Center.

Jacobs is also well known for owning the Cleveland Indians from 1986 to 2001. Progressive Field, formerly Jacobs Field, in Cleveland bore his name from its opening in 1994 until early 2008.
